How to hide your pictures on Google Photos

But many people do not want to reveal some personal photos or videos in front of everyone. That is why they need to keep them secret. The chance to keep personal photos aside from all other images is on Google Photos. By using this feature, anyone can keep their private pictures hidden.

For this, you need to use the Google Photos archive feature. If you wish to save some pictures but do not want others to see them on your smartphone, you can simply select the particular images on the Google Photos app.

  • Open the Google Photos in the first place to keep the photo or video hidden. Then select the photo or video that you want to hide from there.
  • Once you have selected them, you can press the menu button. This button is located on the upper right-hand side corner of the app.
  • Here, you would come across a notice that says “Archive”. Once this icon pops up on the bottom of your screen, you can click on the same.

By doing this, all your selected photographs would go automatically from the main feed into the Google Photos private folder. This folder is easily reachable by you and no one else can see your private pictures. Whenever you would wish to entrance the images, you can go to the main menu icon on the Google Photos app.

From the menu that shows the option Archive, you can select the same. This Google Photos private folder would open up and you can view the confidential images. Moreover, all your images are sorted in the sequential order.

Anytime later on the archive, you will see hidden pictures.

Android, ios and web users have this archive facility of Google Photos. However, to enjoy the benefits, the Google Photos version 2.3 is required.
